Mary Bierce (also spelled Bearce) was most likely a widow in 1774, when she pleaded her case against Nathan Sawyer before the Justice of the Peace. If she had been married, her husband would have represented her.
The details of her case are not currently known. What is known is that Nathan Sawyer was ordered to pay her four pounds, three shillings, and eleven pence. The debt was paid in installments over the course of the winter of 1775.

Judgment in favor of Mary Bierce, November 4, 1774.
